What audio file format or as a music file is stored in audio format. The audio file format provides containers for storing audio data on the device, The device can be the computer, music player etc. The audio data can be stored on the device in compressed or uncompressed format. The decompressed format is used to reduce the size of the file on the device. We would like to have more music files on music discs compress the file size.

1. Uncompressed audio formats

The uncompressed audio format well known (PCM) are stored as WAV files on your Windows system and AIFF format on the MAC operating system. PCM means "modulation Pulse coded ", which is a digital representation an analog signal. PCM has been used in digital telephone systems and the computer as digital audio format. GSM: This file format has been designed to use the phone.
DCT: This audio format is used for dictation, the header can be encrypted.
VOX: This audio format uses the "Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation. "
AAC: This audio format is based on MPEG2 and MPEG4 standards.
