Where is the best place to get free video stock footage?
specifically, on Boeing 737s, airports, and air traffic controllers, etc.?
I want to create a mini-documentary. What format should I get stock footage in so that I can easily use it in editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Premiere, or Sony Vegas 6?
The biggest problem you are going to have is getting the rights to use the footage. I don’t know a lot about the video software, but I’m assuming most digital formats would be easy to edit.

Creative Commons was designed to foster the spread and use of digital content with a generous license policy. You know those long license contracts you click on before every software program? Well this contract will specifically allow you to use the footage legally — and usually free.

Open Source Movies at the Internet Archive is a place for filmmakers to share their work and hundreds have.
